Just For Fun
These projects were designed during my time at PNCA. As you might have seen from other pieces in my portfolio, I nerd out on typography and nostalgia.

FontPicker
This project required that we develop a concept for an app that used wayfinding. I created an app that helps you figure out the best typeface to use for any given project. Users move through a series of questions including use and personality to narrow down the best options. The user is then given several font options and the historical context behind them.

Mock Magazine Layout
This project required that we lay out an article provided to us without the use of any images. Typefaces only. It wasn't until after we mastered the typography that we were allowed to add photos. My final product still ended up relying heavily on type.

FM Stereo Mixtape App
This app concept was developed in a Digital Typography class. The focus was to make some sort of music app. Most students made apps similar to Spotify or Apple Music, but chose to go with an app the relishes the nostalgia of recording mixtapes off the radio.

VHS Film Festival
The idea for the VHS Film Festival was inspired by my huge collection of VHS tapes pruchased with my allowance money in junior high. The concept was that households would host watch parties of a collection of old VHS tapes. I used the familiar recorded tape as inspiration and pushed the concept to include the below banner ad animation.
